Smith Jadeite Glass Turkey on Nest Covered Bowl – Original Box

This impressive L.E. Smith jadeite glass turkey covered bowl is a standout piece of figural American glassware. Molded in a rich jade green glass, the dish features a highly detailed turkey resting above a matching pedestal-style base, creating a substantial display piece with plenty of character. Even better, this example is marked with the L.E. Smith “S” and comes with its original box.

The removable turkey lid is beautifully molded with detailed feathers across the body, neck, wings, and large fanned tail. The base continues the turkey motif with molded wings and feather detailing extending down toward the pedestal foot. Together, the two pieces create a dramatic three-dimensional turkey that looks just as impressive from the front as it does from either side.

The jadeite color is especially attractive. Areas of thicker glass create deeper shades of green, while thinner portions allow more light through, emphasizing the molded feather pattern. The glossy surface gives the piece a wonderful presence and makes it an excellent centerpiece for a Thanksgiving table, fall display, or year-round collection of colorful glass.

Inside, the covered bowl provides usable storage space for candy, nuts, or other small treats, although collectors may prefer to keep this one primarily as a display piece. The interior shows the molded “S” mark associated with L.E. Smith, providing an additional identifying feature.

The inclusion of the original box is particularly nice for collectors and helps make this example more complete than many found on the secondary market.

This piece is in pre-owned condition and may show minor surface wear or manufacturing variations consistent with pressed glass.
