Sears Merry Mushroom Ceramic Spice Shaker – 1970s Japan – Excellent Condition

An original Sears Merry Mushroom ceramic spice shaker, made in Japan as part of the beloved Merry Mushroom kitchenware collection. This is the tall, narrow style of shaker originally designed to sit in the wooden Merry Mushroom spice rack, making it an excellent replacement for a missing piece from an original set.

The creamy off-white ceramic body features a subtle vertical ribbed texture with colorful raised mushroom decoration. A bright orange mushroom with dark brown spots forms the centerpiece, accompanied by a smaller glossy brown mushroom and dimensional green woodland foliage. The top is shaped like a large mushroom cap and finished in warm shades of golden yellow and deep brown, with dispensing holes incorporated into the cap.

The underside retains its original JAPAN sticker along with the Sears, Roebuck and Co. marking.

This shaker is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. The ceramic remains glossy, the raised decoration is well defined, and the orange, brown and green colors remain attractive. There may be minor age-related surface or base wear consistent with a piece of vintage kitchenware.

These tall Merry Mushroom spice shakers are especially useful for collectors restoring an original Sears spice rack, since individual replacements allow an incomplete set to be assembled without purchasing another entire rack. It also makes a charming standalone piece for a retro kitchen, mushroom collection or cottagecore display.

Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
