The smooth round bowl stands on an elegant pedestal, with a pointed finial lifting the matching lid.

The shape matches Westmoreland's No. 1902-2 covered compote. This example has a rose-and-floral decoration rather than the more commonly cataloged Roses & Bows garland. The underside of the lid is signed “L. Plues” with what appears to be “78,” consistent with a 1978 decoration date. A molded Westmoreland WG mark is visible beneath the foot. The exact factory decoration number has not been confirmed.

One covered pedestal compote, including bowl and lid.

White milk glass with hand-painted flowers and gold trim.

Approximately 8¼ inches tall and 6 inches across; measurements are approximate from the ruler photographs.

Unpacked weight: 2 pounds 6.6 ounces (38.6 ounces).

Condition: Pre-owned with light surface marks, tiny specks, and some wear to the gold trim, especially around the foot.
