L.E. Smith Clear Ribbed Glass Handled Basket

Clear ribbed glass and a tall arched handle give this L.E. Smith basket a light, open silhouette. Narrow vertical ribs rise from a round starburst base to a flared, gently scalloped rim. The smooth applied handle contrasts with the patterned bowl, making the basket an appealing accent for a glass cabinet, shelf or tabletop.

The molded Smith “S” mark is visible at the center of the base. The ribbed design is described by its visible features rather than assigned an unverified pattern name or production date. This is a pressed-glass basket with an applied handle, not a claim of hand-cut crystal.

It measures approximately 9½ inches across the broad rim and 8½ inches tall to the top of the handle, based on the supplied ruler photographs. The basket weighs 2 lb 8.6 oz before packing. Its colorless glass works well alongside colored glassware, and the flared shape leaves the starburst interior easy to see.
