Moon & Star Amberina Glass Banana Bowl, 12 Inch

Rich red glass shading into a golden amber pedestal gives this Moon & Star banana bowl plenty of warmth and color. The broad, folded bowl has a scalloped edge, with large moon-shaped panels above a band of molded stars. Smaller stars continue around the raised foot, so there is detail to enjoy from every angle.

The sweeping shape is often called a banana boat or banana stand. Its high sides, dipped ends and low pedestal make it a striking centerpiece for a table, sideboard or glass display. Light passing through the glass brings out orange tones between the deeper red rim and yellow-amber base.

This listing is for one bowl measuring approximately 12 inches long, as shown beside the ruler. The photographed scale reads 3 pounds 9 ounces for the bowl alone. That is its unpacked item weight, not a packed shipping weight. No maker's mark is visible in the supplied photographs, and the maker and exact production date have not been confirmed.

Condition: Pre-owned vintage glass with light surface marks visible on the underside. The photographs show the rim, interior, exterior and base of the actual bowl offered. Please examine the close-up views carefully for the finish and condition of this piece; an in-person inspection for small chips, cracks or repairs has not been supplied.

A colorful choice for a Moon & Star collection or a display of amberina glass. Only the bowl is included; the ruler and scale are shown for reference.

This pre-owned vintage item may show signs of age and use. Please review the photos and condition details carefully, as they are part of the description.
