SR45. Sears Merry Mushroom Ceramic Spice Shaker (damaged) Japan

An original Sears Merry Mushroom ceramic spice shaker featuring the colorful dimensional mushroom design associated with the collectible 1970s Merry Mushroom kitchenware line.

The shaker has a creamy white ceramic body with subtle vertical texture and raised mushroom and foliage decoration. A bright orange spotted mushroom and smaller brown mushroom are surrounded by dimensional green leaves, while the top is shaped like a large mushroom cap finished in graduated golden yellow and deep brown tones. Dispensing holes are incorporated into the mushroom-cap top.

The bottom retains its original “JAPAN” sticker and has the recessed opening originally used for the stopper.

This shaker has significant cracks and is being sold in damaged condition. A prominent crack travels through the mushroom-cap area and continues vertically down much of the body. Additional branching hairlines and cracks are visible around the upper portion. These condition issues are shown closely in the photographs and should be carefully reviewed before purchasing.

Because of the extensive cracking, we recommend this shaker for decorative display, collecting, restoration, or as a placeholder in a Merry Mushroom spice rack rather than for storing or dispensing food. Despite the damage, the raised mushroom decoration remains colorful and attractive when displayed from the front.

Original individual Merry Mushroom shakers can be useful for collectors assembling a spice-rack display one piece at a time, making even an imperfect example an affordable way to fill an empty spot.

Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition. Photos are considered part of the description.

As with all vintage items, this piece may show minor signs of age, use, manufacturing variations, or surface wear consistent with its age. We do our best to photograph and describe any notable condition issues so you know exactly what you are purchasing.
