SR52. Sears Merry Mushroom Small Ceramic Canister – 1982 Made in Japan – Missing Lid

This charming Sears Merry Mushroom ceramic canister is a classic piece from the beloved 1982 kitchenware collection. With its creamy off-white ceramic body and colorful mushroom artwork, it has the playful woodland look that makes original Merry Mushroom pieces so recognizable.

The front features a cluster of three mushrooms, including a large bright orange cap with black polka dots, a smaller dark mushroom with yellow spots, and a peach-colored mushroom surrounded by green and blue foliage. Raised bands around the top and bottom add subtle dimension to the otherwise simple cylindrical shape.

The bottom is clearly marked “© Sears, Roebuck and Co. 1982 Made in Japan,” confirming this as an original Sears piece from the 1982 Merry Mushroom line.

This is a smaller canister, measuring approximately 4¼ inches tall without the lid. The original lid is missing, and this listing is for the ceramic canister only. It would be a useful replacement for someone assembling or completing a Merry Mushroom canister set, or it can easily be repurposed as an open crock for utensils, artificial flowers, craft supplies, paintbrushes, or other small items.

The mushroom graphics remain bright and colorful and display especially well against the creamy ceramic background. There are some minor marks and signs of previous use visible in the photographs. Please review all photos carefully for the exact condition and measurements.

As with all vintage items, this piece may show minor signs of age, use, manufacturing variations, or surface wear consistent with its age. We do our best to photograph and describe any notable condition issues so you know exactly what you are purchasing.
