Westmoreland Ruby Amberina Carnival Glass Vase

Deep ruby-red glass and a brilliant carnival finish give this Westmoreland vase a rich, jewel-like appearance. Gold, blue, violet, and bronze reflections play across the tall panels, with bold hobstar medallions and fine textured bands around the top and foot. A gently flared, sawtooth rim finishes the shape.

The underside carries a molded Westmoreland mark and an etched numbered-edition inscription ending in “/1000-83.” The individual edition number is not clear enough in the photograph to transcribe confidently. The marking is consistent with a 1983 numbered issue; a specific pattern name has not been confirmed.

The glass is ruby red with warm amberina tones. The supplied glow photographs show yellow-orange fluorescence around the raised pattern. This is described as a visible glow feature, not confirmation of uranium or cadmium content; the UV wavelength and chemical composition have not been verified.
