Westmoreland Ruby Carnival Peacock Tail and Daisy Plate – 476 of 1000
Rich ruby glass and a luminous carnival finish bring this Westmoreland Peacock Tail and Daisy plate to life. Six sweeping peacock-feather motifs radiate from the center, with daisy-like flowers between them and a gently ruffled, scalloped edge. Blue, violet and gold highlights shift with the light across the raised design.
The original Westmoreland Authentic Handmade Glass foil label remains on the front, and the underside carries the molded Westmoreland mark. The hand-etched inscription reads 476-1000-83, consistent with number 476 of the reported 1,000-piece red edition made for Levay and a 1983 date. This is a later twentieth-century carnival glass collectible, not an early carnival-era antique.
Measures approximately 9.5 inches across the photographed span; the shaped rim means the width varies slightly by direction. The pictured plate weighs 1 lb 7.5 oz before packing. One plate is included, with no stand or box.
Good pre-owned condition in the supplied photographs, with no obvious chips or cracks visible. Light surface marks are visible on the underside/base, and the foil label shows age-related wear. Please inspect the close-up photographs of the base, numbering and rim. Its rich color and feather pattern make it an appealing cabinet or shelf display piece.
This pre-owned vintage item may show signs of age and use. Please review the photos and condition details carefully, as they are part of the description.
