L.E. Smith Moon & Star Amber Glass 3-Part Divided Relish Dish – 8 Inch

This warm amber Moon & Star relish dish is a wonderful piece of vintage pressed glass for serving or display. Three gently curved compartments meet at the center, making a handy place for olives, pickles, nuts, candies, or other little treats. The scalloped edge and repeating raised moons and starbursts give the dish a beautiful patterned look from both sides.

The Moon & Star pattern traces its history to Adams & Company's nineteenth-century Palace glass. L.E. Smith later produced its own extensive range of Moon & Star pressed glass, including divided serving pieces like this one. This amber three-part relish dish is attributed to L.E. Smith. Its rich honey-amber color looks lovely with other vintage glass serving pieces and is easy to mix into a table setting.

It measures approximately 8 to 8½ inches across. The glass has a substantial feel and looks just as attractive displayed on a shelf or in a china cabinet as it does on the table.
