L.E. Smith Moon & Star Colonial Blue Glass Oil Lamp with Chimney – 12 Inch

This beautiful Colonial Blue Moon & Star oil lamp is a striking display piece, with a richly patterned glass reservoir and a matching tall blue glass chimney. Raised moon circles and little starbursts wrap around the rounded lower body, while the chimney flares gently toward a delicately scalloped mouth. The brilliant blue glass catches natural light beautifully.

The Moon & Star pattern has roots in the nineteenth-century Palace design by Adams & Company, and was later produced in a broader range of shapes and colors by L.E. Smith Glass. This oil lamp is attributed to L.E. Smith, although the precise production date and the originality of the metal hardware have not been confirmed.

The lamp includes a brass-toned burner assembly, metal wick-adjustment mechanism, and blue glass chimney. It would be a lovely addition to a Moon & Star collection or a vintage glass display. The burner has not been tested for lighting or safe operation; the piece is offered as a collectible display lamp, and should be inspected by a qualified person before any attempt to use it with fuel.
