L.E. Smith Moon & Star Pink Glass Handled Basket – Ruffled Pedestal Bowl

This pretty pink Moon & Star glass basket has a delicate color and a wonderfully decorative shape. An arched handle rises above the ruffled rim, while raised moons and tiny starbursts catch the light around the sides. It rests on a short patterned foot, making it an eye-catching little accent even when empty.

The basket is attributed to L.E. Smith Glass, which produced Moon & Star pressed glass in a variety of colors and forms during the twentieth century. The familiar pattern takes inspiration from the nineteenth-century Palace design by Adams & Company. The combination of soft pink glass, curved handle, and scalloped rim gives this piece an especially charming look.
