SR49. Sears Merry Mushroom Spice Shaker Replacement Labels – 24 Self-Stick Labels NOS Japan

A hard-to-find finishing touch for a Sears Merry Mushroom spice shaker collection, this is an original unused package of self-sticking spice labels intended for labeling the individual spice containers.

The package contains 24 labels total — 20 preprinted spice labels and 4 blank labels for additional spices or custom labeling. The labels feature a wonderfully retro black typeface on a white background with a warm brown border, making them a natural match for the earthy colors associated with 1970s Merry Mushroom kitchenware.

The printed labels include familiar kitchen spices and herbs such as Cinnamon, Basil, Caraway Seed, Sage, Ginger, Black Pepper, Allspice, Chervil, Thyme, Oregano, Mace, Rosemary, Marjoram, Parsley, Dill, Paprika, Clove, Bay Leaf, Nutmeg, and Tarragon.

Original instructions remain on the back of the package explaining how to remove and apply the self-sticking labels. The packaging is also marked “Printed in Japan.”

These would be particularly useful for a collector restoring a set of Sears Merry Mushroom spice shakers that has lost its original labels over the years. Original Merry Mushroom spice shakers are collectible in their own right; Sears offered several spice-storage configurations during the line’s production, and surviving labeled examples demonstrate how the labels were used. 

The labels appear unused and remain on their original backing sheet inside the original packaging. Because of their age, the strength and condition of the original adhesive cannot be guaranteed.
