Softly frosted clear glass gives this Westmoreland covered pedestal bowl a gentle, translucent glow. Raised grape clusters, pears, round fruit and curling leaves decorate the bowl and domed lid, while a scalloped rim and pointed finial give the piece its distinctive silhouette.

The fruit-and-leaf relief is consistent with Westmoreland's Della Robbia family of designs rather than a grapes-only pattern. The molded WG mark is visible beneath the foot. This example has an all-over frosted finish; no specific production date is established.

The removable lid lifts away to reveal the round bowl, and the short pedestal provides a pleasing contrast to the broad scalloped edge. It makes an attractive addition to a glass collection, cabinet or tabletop display.
